Other Therapies

  • Cupping – using a lighted taper to create a suction under glass cups, this brilliant technique removes blockages and toxins, stretches muscle spasm, speeds healing and invigorates blood flow.

  • Massage – a deep tissue massage is often used to augment acupuncture treatments especially effective in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.

  • Ear Candling – used to unblock ears and help relieve sinus pain associated with cold and flu or outer ear infections.

  • Electro-acupuncture – electrodes are attached to acupuncture needles and a low electrical pulse passes through them.  This activates the channels strongly, improving circulation and relieving muscular spasm.

  • Moxibustion (moxa) – this traditional heat treatment uses smouldering herb sticks (like incense) to provide heat to the body.  Often used in conditions of pain or to increase circulation.
