-
Cupping – using a lighted taper to create a suction under
glass cups. This brilliant technique removes blockages and
toxins, stretches muscle spasm, speeds healing and
invigorates blood flow.
-
Massage – a deep tissue massage is often used to augment
acupuncture treatments especially effective in the treatment
of musculoskeletal disorders.
-
Ear Candling – used to unblock ears and help
relieve sinus pain associated with cold and flu or outer ear
infections.
-
Electro-acupuncture – electrodes are attached to acupuncture needles
and a low electrical pulse passes through them. This
activates the channels strongly, improving circulation and
relieving muscular spasm.
-
Moxibustion (moxa) – this traditional heat treatment
uses smouldering herb sticks (like incense) to provide heat
to the body. Often used in conditions of pain or to
increase circulation. Moxa can also be used in the
treatment of Malposition of Foetus leading up to labour.
The moxa can be used to help to reposition a breech or
anterior position foetus. It is best if these
treatments are started at least four weeks before the due
date.
